The global sulfate-free shampoo industry is experiencing a growth spurt due to an array of factors, ranging from product line extension and invention, to product launches that allow overnight and daytime smoothing.
This is according to a new survey conducted by Fact.MR, which also notes that this surge in sales aligns with the growing preference in the market for natural &organic products.
The study maintains that liquid sulfate-free shampoo will retain its position as the sought-after variant, accounting for seven in 10 sales. Chief attributes steering demand for the liquid variant include ease of handling, modest economics and effective storage solutions for both low- and high-viscosity sulfate-free shampoos.
In addition, the report notes that the rising global trend of ‘free-from’ has received utter ubiquity, ranging beyond food & beverage products to healthcare formulations.
“Since the sulfate-free shampoos align themselves with the above trend, their acceptance and popularity among consumers is likely to acquire sheer impetus. Furthermore, the fondness for organic and natural products tends to supplement the adoption of the sulfate-free shampoos across broader demographics,” states the report.
