Searches for Margot Robbie’s new hairstyle have skyrocketed in recent weeks, with Google Trends data showing queries for “Margot Robbie short hair” rising +750%, alongside spikes for “Margot Robbie bob” +600% and “Margot Robbie new haircut” +500%. 

The surge follows Margot's appearance at the Chanel Autumn/Winter 2026 show during Paris Fashion Week, where she debuted a fresh lob-length bob with soft, piecey bangs, signalling what many fans are calling her “new hair era”. 

Margot's hair became a talking point throughout the press tour for Wuthering Heights, where she wore long, soft blonde waves reminiscent of her character Cathy. Her latest transformation introduces a lob that falls between the chin and collarbone, finished with textured bangs for a relaxed but polished look. 

The appeal of Robbie's new look lies in its balance between being both polished and effortless, according to Rina Teslica, SEO Strategist and trend expert at Cult Beauty. 

“Margot Robbie’s new bob is a subtle nod to the 80s-inspired hair revival we’re seeing this year. The soft texture, gentle volume and slight side part give the style that effortless, undone feel that was popular during the 80s, but with a more modern finish,” she explains.
