Interact with and learn from the world-renowned Sassoon Creative Team

Mark Hayes

Professional Beauty World will host a webinar on Thursday, 12 November where attendees will get to meet the Sassoon Education Team and interview its International Creative Director, Mark Hayes.

The event takes place at 8pm SA time (6pm GMT). It will be hosted by Sassoon’s UK Creative Director, Danielle Harvey, and Caroline Spencer, Senior Colour Director, both of whom are focused on creating elevated salon looks to assist you in achieving your goals. They will feature ideas to take back to your salon clients and all inspired by Sassoon proprietary methods of abc Cutting and Colouring hair the Sassoon way.

Webinar attendees will see how Sassoon’s innovative techniques can be tailored to your clientele, whilst giving you the tools to inspire members of your own team.

The first half hour of the webinar will be followed by a live interview with Mark Hayes, Sassoon’s International Creative Director. For over 40 years, Hayes has been inspiring hairdressers at Sassoon with his passionate approach to hair and his technical expertise. His signature style – a series of pared-down looks reflecting his love of modernist art and architecture – puts him at the forefront of global hair design, and his role as International Creative Director takes him all over the world coaching, teaching and inspiring.

Hayes began his 40-year love affair with hair as an apprentice at the busy Sassoon Salon on South Molton Street, London in 1977. After completing the Sassoon intensive apprentice programme, Hayes became a first level stylist in the chic Sloane Square salon in 1979. He knew instantly where his career should go – he wanted to become a member of the Creative Team.

“They were perfectionists who were totally committed to producing the very best and I was completely inspired by them,” says Hayes.
