A successful hair salon is all about the customer experience and this extends right down to where and how the clients’ hair is washed.
The backwash zone, as it is known, forms an important part of a salon’s design and may be overlooked in some salons, with the odd basin or two randomly stuck in the corner.
An article in the June 2022 issue of the Salon International digital magazine points out that the backwash area should be designed with the customer’s relaxation in mind. So, not only should the seating be comfortable, but the décor and layout of the entire area should be taken into account.
