Hollywood mega star, George Clooney, perennially known for his thick head of hair, recently revealed on CBS that he has been cutting it himself for the past 25 years.

Clooney said he uses the Flowbee, an electrically powered vacuum cleaner attachment made for cutting hair. It was developed and filed for patent in 1986 by an American carpenter called Rick E. Hunts.

The star described his hair as being ‘like straw’ and therefore easy to cut. Clooney still uses the original Flowbee that he purchased two and a half decades ago and his haircuts take a mere two minutes.

How the system works is that using the suction power of a vacuum cleaner, the Flowbee then draws the hair evenly into the recessed blades and cuts it precisely. According to the manufacturers, it allows you to create the most popular haircut styles.

Talk about star power – ever since Clooney’s interview, the Flowbee has sold out! The device had previously experienced a boost in sales since the coronavirus pandemic hit and home haircuts increased out of necessity.
